THE LIBRARY

Books occupy the Library in arrangements that would trouble a conventional librarian.

Some rest on shelves. Others appear to have discovered that shelves are optional.

A large pendulum moves quietly through the Room.

Near one window stands a white orchid.

On another table rests a small ballerina music box.

Nothing here seems particularly interested in explaining why it has been kept.

The Library has always preferred discovery to cataloguing.
